Monday, May 20, 2019 ~ Children’s Music Theater of Alamogordo

Bring your kids down to the Flickinger Center, 1110 New York Ave, for a free clinic on how to audition for Children’s Music Theater’s upcoming production. The clinic will teach children how to select a song, how to be brave and confident on stage, and much more! This is a great opportunity for students to practice their auditioning skills before the actual auditions. The clinic starts at 6pm and will conclude at 8pm. For more information, click here. Tuesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 23, 2019 ~ Children’s Music Theater Auditions

Come down to the Flickinger Center for Children’s Music Theater’s auditions for Narnia! This will be an exciting musical take on C.S. Lewis’s classic book series. Kids ages 7-17 are welcome to come and audition for a variety of fun roles. Please bring a song selection on your phone so that it can be played while your child auditions. June 5-9, 2019 ~ Alamogordo Tiger Football Youth Camp

Does your 1st-8th grader play football? Join the Alamogordo High School Coaching staff at Tiger Stadium for the Alamogordo Tiger Football Youth Camp! The camp will run June 5-9, from 9 to 11:30 AM. The camp costs $40 per individual camper or $40 for your first child and $30 for each sibling. Each student participant will receive a FREE camp t-shirt! Registration opens June 3 at 8 AM at the Tiger Stadium.

Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center is offering a class to caregivers of individuals living with mental illness. The Family-to-Family Caregivers Education Course will teach skills and knowledge needed to cope more effectively with mental illness. The 12-week class will meet once a week for 2.5 hours in conference rooms 3 & 4. The course will cover schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, clinical depression, panic, anxiety disorders, and more. The American Heart Association is offering courses in basic life support at NMSU-A! OEEM 101 covers basic life support for healthcare providers. The classes will be held in the Science Building, located at 2400 N. Scenic Dr. In order to participate, students must register through NMSU-A for college credit or through continuing education. There is a charge for the classes.
